HERE‘S HOW TO TAKE THE PERFECT SELFIE (FEAT. OPPO F1s)

YYou guessed it right. I am guilty. I like taking seflies! (LOL) I don’t usually upload them for the world to see but I take a lot. Selfies happen when no one is around to take a photo of you or you’re just shy to ask a stranger. You got to do it on your own. In the past I always struggle with taking one but with research and practice, I’ve gotten better. I’m not saying I’m a selfie expert now but I think I will be with the aid of the selfie expert: Oppo F1s. I was inspired by this device to compile selfie tips and tricks. Hopefully you guys can have an “unli-selfie”!

I. DUDE, FIND THE LIGHT

Dude, you just have to find the light. You have to find it because light is essential for any camera. It is also the thing that illuminates your face and this can make or break your selfie. It is the reason why we always hear photographers, models and personalities say “Here! The lighting is good.” So make sure you’ll find it and have enough. Natural lighting is preferable too.

Tip 1:  When you’re indoors, a good source of natural lighting is your open door way. Just make sure it’s not too harsh.

Tip 2: If you’re outside, try putting the source of light behind you. Make sure your head is blocking the sun to get enough light to illuminate your face. Just Perfecto!

II. KNOW YOUR ANGLES

Does “practice makes perfect” ring a bell, well… because it applies with this one. Knowing the angles that suits you gets a little tricky. It ‘s because it needs practice. You yourself are the model for this particular photo-shoot so make some head poses that flatters your face. You can also position your device to achieve the beautiful you. (LOL)

Tip 1: Positioning your mobile device above your face usually is face flattering, not all the time.

Tip 2: If you want a certain body part or facial feature to look smaller, try positioning it away from the camera.

III. A NICE BACKGROUND WOULDN’T HURT

Any cool background that shares your selfie can level up your selfie game. It may be a nice colored wall, a limousine or even a yacht. The background to your selfie adds more interest to your photo so pay attention to your background too. Heck, even your cool friends can be backgrounds. (LOL)

IV. YOU BETTER DO SOMETHING

Don’t just stand there and just shoot a boring selfie. Do something. I already mentioned a while ago about backgrounds adding interest to your selfie. Well… a nice hand gesture or any facial expression can also add interest to your photograph. Show your biggest, most gorgeous smile, let your tongue all out, show off your fit physique, give a peace sign, or copy Derek Zoolander and show your own version of his “blue steel.”
