IDGAF: I DON’T GIVE A FUNK

AAs you have probably noticed on my social media accounts, I have this affinity to wear printed clothes. Floral printed button-down polo shirt to be exact. We know that our country’s weather can be UNPREDICTABLE and most of the time humid. My solution is to wear printed polo shirts THAT is quite comfortable for a hot day. It is convenient because you can wear IT from morning to night. They are quite flexible.

IDGAF: TRYING SOMETHING NEW

But… I want to try something new and the perfect opportunity to venture out for me is when we had a gala night for the 10th year anniversary of the Cebu Bloggers Society.

POPPING BUTTON-DOWN REDS

At first, I was really keen on having the same outfit: the printed shirt underneath a suit but I THOUGHT why not try something NEW. I wasn’t really feeling okay on wearing print that day. So, I chose to wear plain basic pieces but it doesn’t mean I don’t want to stand out. We have to bring our A-game all the time and it is for a special night: our 10th anniversary.

The red button-down polo short really caught my eye. I’m not going to wear any print so it is quite hard to make my outfit pop among A sea of suits and gowns so I should choose an eye-catching color.

FUNKY DUA

Now, let’s talk about the suit. I opted to wear the blue one because it was the best fit for the red button-down. I like the color combination. It actually reminds of the color tones of Dua Lipa’s recent IDGAF music video with a hint of Uptown Funk of Bruno Mars and I like it. It gives off that 90’s vibe which I adore. I would not place other colors on the getup like yellow because I would probably resemble the Philippine flag. I don’t want that. Haha!

It all paid off because guess what? I won the best-dressed male at the event! It was really unexpected. All my fears of looking like a flag and not popping out are all gone. A big thanks to Burton Menswear Philippines.
