anuary in Cebu always feels different. The city moves with a certain rhythm as Sinulog approaches, filled with preparations, traditions, and shared moments. Food has always been part of that celebration, quietly bringing people together between parades and everyday life.
This year, I got to experience that connection through Panda Plates by Foodpanda Sinulog Edition, an exclusive food crawl partnered with Cebu Bloggers Society, which I am proud to be part of.
The experience highlighted how Foodpanda continues to bring Sinulog flavors closer to home, from iconic Cebuano dishes to neighborhood favorites that locals keep coming back to.

Cebu Tasty Lechon
No Sinulog celebration is complete without lechon, and Cebu Tasty Lechon was the perfect first stop. Known as a symbol of Cebuano pride, it continues to draw crowds for its crispy skin and flavorful meat.
My favorite was the lechon belly. It was crispy, juicy, and deeply flavorful, the kind of dish that reminds you why lechon is not just for festivals but for everyday moments too. They also offer meals paired with puso, the iconic hanging rice that makes enjoying lechon easy and convenient.

Abaca Baking Company
From savory to comforting, our next stop was Abaca Baking Company, proudly owned and operated by The Abaca Group. The café reflects Cebu’s thriving café culture, offering artisanal breads, pastries, and specialty coffee.
My favorites were the salted caramel drink and their pastries. Everything felt thoughtfully made, and the atmosphere was calm and welcoming, a nice pause from the busy Sinulog season.

Jafar’s
Jafar’s represents Cebu’s love for bold and diverse flavors. Since opening in 2019, it has grown from a small kiosk into a familiar favorite, especially during high demand periods like Sinulog.
My favorite was the roast beef wrap, filling, flavorful, and satisfying. Jafar’s offers wraps, rice bowls, burritos, and salads, making it a go to for comfort food with a twist. Foodpanda helps them manage orders efficiently during peak seasons, allowing more people to enjoy their food.

Alberto’s Pizza
Alberto’s Pizza is a Cebu classic that many of us grew up with. Known for affordability and consistency, it remains a reliable comfort food choice during busy seasons.
My forever favorite is the beef and mushroom pizza. For this stop, we ordered through the Foodpanda app and chose the pickup option, which was quick and convenient. It was a great reminder that Foodpanda is not just about delivery but also about making pickup easier, especially during crowded Sinulog days.

Good Habits Coffee
We ended the crawl with coffee at Good Habits, a café built on the idea that enjoying coffee is always a good habit. Founded in 2022, it has grown into a familiar stop for Cebu’s coffee lovers.
My favorite was the sea salt latte. Smooth, balanced, and comforting, it was the perfect way to wrap up the experience. Good Habits is also easily accessible through Foodpanda, making good coffee just a few taps away.

Celebrating Sinulog Made Easier
While Sinulog brings people into the streets, many choose to celebrate in quieter ways at home or with close friends. Foodpanda supports both by offering delivery and pickup options, along with Sinulog exclusive deals from January 15 to 21, including free delivery, discounts for new users, and special offers for Pro users.
Panda Plates by Foodpanda Sinulog Edition showed how supporting local restaurants through digital platforms helps businesses stay visible and serve more customers during peak seasons. More than just convenience, it is about keeping Cebu’s food culture accessible during one of the city’s most important celebrations.
Sinulog is not just about the festivities. It is also about sharing meals, rediscovering favorites, and celebrating Cebu one plate at a time.
