Cebu Food Crawl 2025: Day 2 Highlights with Cebu Bloggers Society

CEBU FOOD CRAWL 2025 EVENT

What is Cebu Food Crawl?

The Cebu Food Crawl is a yearly event organized by the Cebu Bloggers Society, one of the most established blogging communities in Cebu. It brings together bloggers, influencers, and content creators to explore different restaurants and cafes around the city. The goal is simple: to showcase Cebu’s food scene by visiting several dining spots in a single day.

For 2025, the Cebu Food Crawl gave us the chance to try everything from comfort food to desserts and cocktails. Day 2 was packed with four exciting stops that showed how diverse Cebu’s dining scene has become.

Stop 1: Boy Zugba – IT Park

We started Day 2 at Boy Zugba, a Kusina Bisaya that puts a fun twist on Mindanao and Filipino comfort food. The interiors are quirky and playful, but the food is the real highlight.

We had Karne Bilao, Pork Ribs, Chix BBQ, and Sinigang Salmon. For merienda, we enjoyed Palabok and Lumpia Ubod. Dessert was Banana de Coco and the Buko Halo Overload, which paired well with their Orange Punch Cooler.

If you are around IT Park in the afternoon, try their Merienda Madness promo. It is Buy One, Get One on Pinoy snacks from 2 PM to 4 PM until September 30.

Location: Boy Zugba Cebu, Garden Row, IT Park
Hours: 6 AM to 11 PM (Mon to Thu), 6 AM to 12 AM (Fri to Sun)

Stop 2: Bigby’s Café and Restaurant – IT Park

The second stop was Bigby’s Café and Restaurant, a brand that started in Cagayan de Oro and is now a favorite in Cebu. Bigby’s is known for generous servings, a travel-inspired concept, and value-for-money meals.

We tried some of their bestsellers like Sinuglaw, Quesadillas, Buenos Nachos, Rack-a-Bye Baby, Belly Buster, Fisherman’s Platter, and the rich Fudgy Sensation. They also served their Kiddie Meal and the refreshing 3 Flavored Juices.

Bigby’s has great offers too. They have Kiddie Meals, a Birthday Treat with free pasta and a surprise gift, and the Snack Attack Deal at 699 pesos from 2 PM to 5 PM daily.

Location: Garden Row, Ayala Malls Central Bloc, IT Park
Hours: 11 AM to 11 PM (Mon to Thu), 11 AM to 12 MN (Fri to Sun)

Stop 3: Café Merci – Banilad

Next, we visited Café Merci in Banilad, a Korean-inspired café with a minimalist look and a wide selection of desserts.

We enjoyed their Strawberry Shortcake, croissants, Mini Cake and Tart Series, and other elegant cakes. Everything was fresh, delicate, and beautifully presented.

Café Merci is the kind of place where you will want to order more than one pastry, especially when paired with their coffee or tea.

Location: Merci Dessert Café Cebu, Paseo Saturnino, Banilad
Hours: 7 AM to 10 PM (Mon to Thu), 7 AM to 11 PM (Fri and Sun), 7 AM to 12 MN (Sat)

Stop 4: Straight Up Bar – Seda Central Bloc Cebu

We ended Day 2 at Straight Up Bar at Seda Central Bloc Cebu. The rooftop setting gave us a great view of the city lights while we enjoyed a mix of food and cocktails.

The ala carte spread had Buffalo Chicken Wings, Gambas Al Ajillo, Fried Marinated Calamari, pizzas, pastas, nachos, truffle fries, and my top pick of the night, Beef Salpicao. It is now one of my new favorites in Cebu.

We also got to try all twelve of the new Seda Signature Cocktails made with local liqueur. My personal favorites were Tatlong Hari with ube cream liqueur, Gayuma ng Sirena, Orange Popcorn, and Marikit with salted caramel vodka and mint.

Straight Up Bar also has exciting promos. Sunset Bites gives you unlimited pica pica and one cocktail for 499 pesos daily from 5 to 7 PM. Happy Hour All Night has unlimited soda, juices, and local beers from 7 PM to 1 AM for 799 pesos. The Sunrise Session offers a post-shift spread with local beer on Fridays and Saturdays from 5 to 9 AM. They also have a Dine More, Stay More promo where you get a free overnight stay at Seda if you collect 10 stamps with a minimum spend of 5,000 pesos.

Their weekly specials are also worth checking out. Mondays are Buy One, Take One on cocktails and mocktails. Tuesdays are Ladies Night with Buy One, Take One on cocktails. Wednesdays are Whisky Nights with Buy One, Take One on whisky drinks. Thursdays give you a free local beer when you order sizzling dishes. Fridays offer 50 percent off on Sangria.

With its creative cocktails, hearty food, and skyline view, Straight Up Bar was the perfect way to close Day 2 of the crawl.

Final Thoughts

Day 2 of the Cebu Food Crawl 2025 was an experience that showed how much Cebu’s food and drink scene has to offer. From local comfort food at Boy Zugba, to hearty meals at Bigby’s, delicate desserts at Café Merci, and cocktails with a view at Straight Up Bar, it was a day of flavors that balanced fun and indulgence.
